Somebody probably modified the Renix dizzy as shown in post 13 of my Renix Tips.Originally Posted by bubbarules1958

I want to replace the seal where the torque meets the transmission. When I go to put the converter back in is there any "clicks" that I need to rotate and find or do I just slap it in?

You need to do the "clicky-clicky".Originally Posted by bubbarules1958

I honestly don't know because I've always left the converter attached to the trans.Originally Posted by bubbarules1958

Someone must know this and should chime in.
I know on the mopar and GM trans its three clicks. I will just spin it until I hear no clicks.

all it says in the manual is "align and install" the torque converter.Originally Posted by bubbarules1958

Not much help here. Some recollection of it not being seated on a Chevy once. Automatic transmissions and chemistry are two things I wish I'd been schooled on and wasn't.
Maybe shoot it up to "ask a question" thread.

They didn't have the seal in stock. Not going to worry about. It's not leaking anyway. I got in a hurry on a 727 and just slapped it in. Lasted about ten miles down the road before it gave out.Originally Posted by DFlintstone

Quick question. hose that runs from T case and bolts to the back of the bell housing. Is it a vacuum line or a vent tube?

Up and running. Had a Leakey injector. Used an O ring from the parts car fuel rail. Was going to do a camshaft break in video for a friend. Got too busy. This video is about six minutes after fire up. All taps and clacks have since went away. Will post another video soon. Thank you everyone for the information. If I could I would buy everyone of you a beer or three.
