Default 2001 Cherokee turn signals not working

I have had my 2001 cherokee classic for a couple of weeks now. I just left the vehicle sitting for a week and when I got back the turn signals were not working. Its doesnt matter whether I use the left or right turn signal it will not blink. The light comes on but doesnt flash.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Just went out and took the lower dash apart. I found the relay by tracking the sound. Its location is under the headlight switch. You have to remove the plastic and then there is a metal plate behind that you also have to remove. After that you can locate the flasher relay by sound or touch. The oem relay is gray and has foam around it. Just pull and out and replace it.

I bought a replacement at O'Rielly's off the shelf, it was a universal blinker relay for $22.00. It seems to work fine now.

Thanks to those who helped lead me in the right direction.
