Default 2000 XJ front speakers

I know this has been hashed out a million times. My front speakers do not work and I took apart the passenger side and found the broken wire.
I've searched a couple forums for 2 hours here and most say to just run a new wire from the kickpanel to the speaker. Where is the connector behind the kickpanel at?
Mine has a lt blue w red stripe and a lt blue w black stripe going to the speaker on the passenger side. I have read that it should be a blue w red stripe and a purple wire. I see no purple wire. Need help to get these fixed. Thanks for any info/suggestions.

Default speaker wiring

I have searched for over 2 hours on here and other forums. Haven't found info I need. Never found one with pics. But thanks asatxj. If you know how to locate that thread let me know.
I'm getting conflicting info on the wire colors. I tried new wire from the ones that were wired to my speaker and still nothing. LT BLUE/RED stripe and LT BLUE/Black stripe. The factory splice was broken.
I'm sure people have done this. Any info would be of great help befroe I put it all back together and just run the 2 back speakers. Thanks.

Scroll down to my post.
That oughta get you started. Pics are in the link.
Need more, I'll do a full out write up on it if needed.
The wire color isn't a big deal, locate the speaker wire in the door. Same color at the connector behind the kickpanel IIRC different years have different colors.

if you want to you can run it to the radio that is what i did but that was after the ones in the door broke twice.just a suggestion but this way you don't have to worry about them again

I ran new wires from the stereo to each door into a pair of Kenwoods that I got on sale. Big improvement with 4 speakers. Next I'll swap out the factory rears for a pair of better ones. Thanks guys for all your replies.

If you can reach the cut wire in the door boot (car side obviously), just tag onto that and run new to the speaker. If we could, that's what we'd always do in the shop, quick and easy. If not, look in the kick panel for that wire and tag in there, and if that doesn't work just run new completely from deck to speaker.
