new to the forum but have been reading here for awhile. i was going to start a build thread when I ran into this issue and started one here instead. just picked this jeep up a month ago. did the floor pans and a few other things. jeep ran great on my way out of town my oil pressure spiked to 80 on the cluster a few seconds and went back to just over 45 . I didn't notice any other gauges. ran fine until one morning I went to start. it ran maybe 5 seconds and stalled, would turn over but never start. then I got the no bus on dash and a p1694 code. i pulled the cluster to see cel light and other dash lights removed imagine that. jeep ran very good though cleaned cluster checked resistance on cps was good . checked ohms between pcm and tcm good. no power to fuel pump with key turned. I have to jump relay to work, also no power to 15amp fuse pcm or fuel injectors. anyone have any ideas? would appreciate it.

Check the condition of the main power feed wire from the battery cable clamp to the PDC. Any corrosion inside the cable clamp with cause a voltage drop and the PCM doesn't like that.

 

thanks. I will check that today. I did take a test light to all the grounds and battery terminals but I will take them apart

cleaned and check terminals and nothing has changed.

 

I checked pcm to cps and only getting .580 volts. would the pcm be bad or is there somewhere else to check first?

 

just an update if anyone has any suggestions . I have unplugged all 5v sensors. tested ignition and have 12v coming out, but 2 15 amp fuses 18 fuel rail and 21 pcm. checked powe at pdc I have 12 volts going to fuel pump and asds. the relays are good . the relays however do not click or open. check for volts going into pcm on the b positive pin and have 12v , but only have .6v coming out of 5v pin a17. in the jb I had a blown fuse number10. says starting system. I replaced it but im not sure what caused that fuse to short.
