Default 1985 XJ axle?

Hey guys, came accross an abandoned Cherokee Chief today, decided to check it out and here's hat I found.
It's a fully loaded '85, 2.8 powered, slush box, with a full time case, and non c clip 35 rear...now the thing is the front axle. Looks to be a HP 30, however it has no ujoints. But has CV axles, I have never seen or heard of factory CV axles on an XJ, can someone tell if this is right, and if its worth anything?

How beat up is the jeep itself... Those chiefs are so hard to find nowadays... A classic in my opinion ... Is it complete? Any pictures? Does it have the AMC logo seat belts? What color interior real shame to have it go to waste... Laying in the woods...

Actually not as horrible as I thought. It's sitting on pavement, interior is god awful 80s blue lol. Yes AMC seatbelts and all. The floors are starting to develop a few holes but that's all I found.
I have located an owner and I'm gonna try to retrieve this XJ, and the way rotted renix base model he has too.

For my 86, the front driveshaft was a C/V. The diff was normal with joints. That shaft was tossed when I changed everything. The t-case end was a flange but the diff bolted up normal.

Might be someone stuck a ZJ diff in it since it has C/V axles and does bolt in.

Early XJs with the SelecTrac option had the CV joints on the front shafts.

No pics...owner recently passed and his family was looking to get rid of it.

It runs as good as a 2.8 ever will, and it does
Drive...but they want $1500 for it!
I offered $500, well over scrap value and they said no. So I'll let it sit for a while until they really want it gone.
