I'll take one for a 1996 XJ Auto. I'll send the core back after I get the new one installed.
Thanks!

Damn. So us Renix guys are screwed?

Didnt Huntingman put an HO in a Renix XJ?? I believe he did and figured out how to run the HO TB with the Renix wiring.

If you dont want to put an HO in your XJ, then next option is to drill and tap your manifold for an HO TB, or make an adapter out of aluminum to mount the HO TB to the Renix manifold. One of these days Im putting a low mileage HO in my 89, using the HO intake and exhaust, so Ill know soon enough.

Does a bored throttle bottle really even do anything? I've heard mixed stories about them.

This is a must and all I can say is that you can't go wrong performing this modification. Acceleration is even noticeable on the expressway and unlike others no whistling noise.

And like everyone else for the money, ur a fool if u don't do this to ur jeep. I got mine last Saturday n put it on with a tb spacer. It's super easy to put on and I'm pretty sure my mpg's went up a bit. Definitely more power after a few miles n pulls harder over 3k rpm's according to the butt dyno. Total investment with tb spacer around $140, well spent

The bored throttle body makes a big difference. I will be throwing my rig on a dyno again later this month, but I've also done other mods/repairs since my last run... not just the TB.

An idea for a new thread- 'who got who's returned and bored TB?'
You know, deep inside, we want to know who our XJ blood bro is.
