Very possible it's a vacuum leak aswell. They sneak up on you and are tough to trace down. Get yourself a can of wd40 and lightly spray your vacuum lines with the vehicle running. If your idle changes than you know where a leak is. Avoid exhaust and electrical parts and don't spray any where it can get sucked in through the intake. Good places to check are the map sensor and lines, the brake booster line, and you vacuum canister and line running to it. If you didn't know, the vacuum canister is behind the bumper on the passenger side, just trace the line back while inspecting it. PM me with any further questions so we are not clogging up this thread.

Putting a better flowing TB will work on any HO 4.0. Its the same engine. Anytime you can get more air in and more exhaust out.....you are going to make more power....

Just want to say thanks again Dennis, got mine back yesterday and installed it. For the guy that just asked wait times, took about 2 and a half weeks, sending it from Canada. So really fast, great guy to do business with and the product is very worth it. Clean as a whistle, greased, and very nice craftsmanship.
And best of all I definitely notice better throttle response in my '99. Dare I say it actually feels quick now? It certainly feels less restrictive. So all in all for having it in a day I'm very happy with this easy and inexpensive mod. No whistle either that I can tell.
So thanks again Dennis!

Glad you got it Thunderthighs...and glad you like it.
I hate that I cant get a tracking number for Canadian shipments without insuring them...but they have not lost one yet....and Ive sent about 3 or 4 up that way recently.
