Bought some Dirtbound front fenders. took 7 months to get them, the owner made up for the wait by throwing in some water jet cutting, " Cummins" is now where the Cherokee logo used to be.

Several months ago I pulled the trigger on the lift kit, but I did not cover the choice or the install.

Slip yoke eliminator kit, new shift selector plate, 4WD linkage fabrication, shortened driveshaft, correct speedo calibration set up all done by M.I.T in El Cajon. I added 2 degree shims for the correct pinion angle and all is good!

Rear fenders, big project, scary for me at first, not much experience with welding thin stuff. Also "body work" another scary part.

But with the fenders that we fabbed up, those will cover all my "sins" so mostly it just has to be strong and seal up correctly against the elements.

Spent alot of time on the lower part thinking and getting it right the first time, the first side took me 2-3 hours. the second side I tackled took about 45 minutes.

Looking from the inside looking at the top of the fender and the slits I made to allow for shaping to fit the outer skin.

Had to fabricate some aluminum brackets for the front valance to mount up against.

This was a aftermarket Valance and was a mess, did not fit right anywhere, had to fiberglass in some studs for mounting and add lots of material so the gap between teh hood And the valance would look half way decent. Probably ten different layers of Bondo to build it up to add a 1/4 inch or so right on the lip that meets the front edge of the hood.

NUTSERTS, another thing I have never done, easy!! just alot of them, close to 100 to hold on the 6 panels of body armour/fenders.
I used 10-24 pitch, steel Nutserts.

Bought stainless steel pan head square bit machine screws (McMaster car catalog comes through again) to prevent rust and to give a smooth finished look,,,also did not want to have hex heads hanging up on clothing etc.

33 X 12.50's on 15's, the bead lip is going to be painted red to match the red and semi gloss black plan for the paint.

A little out of order, but I wanted to mention this, I had to cut these factory mounts off. In the process I sent my self to the emergency room. 26 stitches and 10 days later I was back it. Learn from me on this mistake, Don't relax when using a 7 inch angle grinder, give those power tools the respect they deserve. Got a picture o my Bo-boo on my phone, when I transfer it over to the computer I will and add the pic, its pretty entertaining" or "Ugly" depending on your perspective I guess.
