Default Wj heated seats conversion

Not sure if this belongs in mod or non moded
While replacing the climate controls in the center console I noticed the wiring for heated seat switches and that got me thinking what would it take to convert my seats to heated seats using stock parts from another jeep? How much of the wiring is there for heated seats?

No first hand knowledge but came across this in my travels.

Thinking if you have power seats you are more plug and play then if you don't.

As long as the body control module is compatible, go for it. It will be plug and play except that you may want to re pin the plug or wire around it for the heater

My WJ is a base model with only a 6-way power driver's seat (no lumbar support), and a manual 4-way passenger's seat, no heated seats. As far as I know, if your WJ wasn't equipped with certain options (i.e., heated seats), there's no wiring underneath the carpeting. You CAN install heated seats, but it would take finding the elements to go underneath the seats (and making sure you find elements that work... they DO go bad), and getting power and ground from another 12V DC power source (such as the cigarette lighters/power outlets in the dash). So can it be done? Yes. But will it be easy? Not necessarily.
