Fuel sender unit ?

That is an xj unit. The mj is a mirror image of it but it is not the right sender.

What year sending unit you using, Apparently 90 and 91 and up are different.

I'm using one out of a 1986 long bed with a 2.5. I used the rubber part on the bottom of the 2.5 pump on the 4.0 pump then cut the top mounting stud of the top mount of the 2.5 fuel pump mount and used it with the top of the 4.0 pump mount. Bent the tab of the 4.0 top mount over with the stud I cut off in the hole of the tab and it lined up perfectly with the sender. I also had a short bed sender but it was to short to reach the bottom of the tank. Keep in mind I have a new tank with no try in my 1992 short bed
