i have a Cherokee 2014 model sometimes I am facing a hard shifting with shift shock especially from 1st to 2nd gear and really bad acceleration could you please advice if its transmission problem or something else

It could be a combination of transmission and/or firmware, there as been recall and TSB notification. Take it to a dealer as it should fall under the 5 years 60K miles warranty even if your outside of the 3 year/36K mileage. FCA have been going back on some 2014 KL transmissions and replacing.

The OP description of the problem is the exact description that usually leads to complete failure, or transmission replacement.

2014 KL - had to have trans replaced among a horrid list of other defects since purchase. Just a horrible vehicle. Horrible. The trans thing took me almost 3 years to finally get replaced after useless firmware updates and wasting time discussing with the dealer. Some social networking person who is useless, tried to help...FCA should recall these and fix them or buy them back. I'm now contemplating dumping. Good luck with your trans issue. Push for a new trans, which by the way, still kicks and shifts horribly.
