My apologies for a really dumb question, I've been changing my own oil for many, many years, this was the fifth time I've done this vehicle, this afternoon I made the biggest mess I have ever made, I had the oil changed at a "quick" place last time, when I took the cap off the filter, i had oil spilling every where....is it possible they put that filter in upside down? Which end goes up when inserted into the motor side, the pointy end or the flat end? You Tube didn't show any 3.2's....the cartridge filter they were showing had 4 little tabs sticking up, not the post with the little O ring. One of the Y/T posts also warned about not over tightening the cap, I ran it down so the big O ring was seated and then snugged the cap down, what is considered over tight? any suggestions anyone?
