2014 Jeep Cherokee shift knob removal (automatic)

2014 Jeep Cherokee shift **** removal (automatic)
The plastic piece you squeeze to change gears broke off. I can still shift without any issues but it doesn't look real nice. Dealer said you need to purchase entire shift **** kit at $66. How do I remove the old one?
