Thanks for all the welcomes! Just registered the jeep finally and had it inspected.

Also had the engine coolant flushed, transmission flushed and the transfer case fluid flushed. All for $260 total including inspection.

Anything else I may want to do since I have no idea the maintenance this jeep has went through?

I can't wait to get it out for the season and play around in the snow!!!!

Looks sharp!
I ended up talking the dealer down to $4000 out the door when they originally had it listed at $4982. There definitely is a jeep tax in my area of western NY so I had to make due with a little over price. But hey I look at it as a toy and a reliable tank for the winter!

Maybe it's an east coast thing. XJ's are a bit more expensive here in PA too. Or perhaps it's just a dealership thing. I don't think I'd ever buy an XJ from a dealership again!

You could change the gear oil in the axles...who knows how long that's been in there. Also, what oil and filter do you have on there? I think it's actually illegal to have a FRAM filter on a 4.0. It infiltrates the air with toxic chemicals and kills hippies.

Hey guys its been getting colder up here in Western NY, the last two times I've started my vehicle and started driving it under a minute after it being cold started.... It stalled after taking my foot off the gas and REALLY REALLY didn't want to turn back over but eventually does after about 10 seconds. Held the gas at about 1.5k rpms for around a minute and then swiftly put it in drive and try not to let off the gas for a 1/4 mile. Ran fine after that.

I'm really going to give it a few minutes of idling before driving when I leave for work tonight and see if that makes a difference.

Saw today that what I believe to be the original radiator is leaking a little... Any preference for what kind to get? Would plan on doing it myself if it's not that invasive of my time.

Also the rear end is sagging a little bit. Should I just buy new stock shocks for the rear or is it not too much more to put like a 3 inch lift on the thing?

Thanks a lot gents!
