Just got my first Jeep a couple months ago, a 2000 XJ 2 door I6 auto. So, here is my story. My father has owned a restoration business since before I was born, so naturally I've loved old cars since before I can remember. Previously I've owned a 1964 El Camino, 1997 mustang, and currently own a 1954 Bel Air, 1967 F100, and a 2003 Lincoln ls, and the jeep of course. done all the work on all of them pretty much myself with a litte help and a lot of direction from my father. My brother was given a 1977 cj5 from our aunt when I was about 14 or so, and I fell in love with jeeps soon after. I've been wheeling with him quite a bit and we built a mud pit in the woods in front of our house. so as soon as I found a good deal I bought a jeep! Sorry if that was rambley and didn't make much sense, I'm not the greatest at getting thoughts across...
PS. I'm turning 20 next month and live in the great state of Maine!

Welcome to the CF.
Something to watch out for on the 00-01 jeeps is the 0331 head. Tendency to crack easy. if you take care of it, should be fine....just a heads up....
How many miles? and any pics?

Ya don't let that thing over heat or there is a chance that the head will crack between the 3rd and 4th cylinders. It's not really something that should worry you, just something to look out for

As long as you maintain the cooling system and keep a good eye on it, you'll be fine. A friend of mine has a 2000 w/ a 4.5" lift and he wheels the **** out of it. Welcome to the forum! I want to see pics of these vehicles you have! (except the Lincoln...)
