Hello fellow Jeep owners!
I joined a few weeks ago but decided to get a feel for the forum before making my first post. The gf and I have just purchased our first Jeep together and a damn good one too, for what it's lacking anyway
.
We picked up a 1993 Cherokee Sport 4.0HO 2WD/4DR/Auto for just under a grand about a month ago, previous owner had the vehicle for 13 years, excellent maintenance and all the paperwork to prove it. Engine has 170K but runs like a top and all fluids, including the rear diff looks fantastic. He's only put 1,500 miles a year on it for the past 5 years, sitting in the garage rest of the time. Runs and rides as it should for stock
With all of the pluses + cost it's a prime candidate for a DIY 4WD install which I intend to do. I'm a mechanic for a living so access to air, lifts and all the tools I need are at my disposal once the time comes.
I don't wanna drag on lol. I'll be making a build thread with pics in the near future. So, anyone know of a few good places to trail ride around here?
BTW Here's a pic of her in the front yard first day we got her home lol.

Has a class 3 tow hitch in the back and leaf supports so it sits about 1-2 inches taller in the back, maybe more haven't measured. Gotta raise the front and get some 30 inch tires stat.

Thanks for all of the warm welcomes!
Since I've gotten it I've been doing a few upgrades to the grounds and other misc. stuff. I've also painted the fenders, rear bumper, front grill, front bumper and front trim satin black since I did not agree with the painted fenders and the bumpers/grill needed a touch up, it looks much better now. The car was originally black and was maaco painted white, there is flaking here and there but my shop also does body and paint work.
Right now I'm looking for some decent 30 inch tires and we have an extra 3 inch BDS lift kit for my Jeep lying around the shop so I'm considering using it. I have no delusions of grandeur I know my 2WD isn't gonna get me rock crawling but I do want to start trail riding it and checking out some new sights until the swap is done.
