no one here seems to be answering the main question HOW IS RIDE QUALITY he is driving on roads I have posted the same thing a 100 times and no one will say anything about ride quality.
Response #101 here... Regarding ride quality, I have a RE 3 1/2” lift with short arms, and drop down brackets for the lower control arms. What ensures a smooth ride from the front end is getting those [short] control arms as close to horizontal as possible. I also have brand new leaf springs in the rear. My ride is pretty darn smooth on the pavement.
I went super budget with Skyjacker 3 Inch kit from Morris 4x4 for $380 Free Shipping. Bought the 2 Door Sport from Craigslist for $600 just a stop to get new tires. Once I got the kit a week later, All I did was re drill the track bar location. Took it in for an alignment and they said it was nearly spot on. No charge since it was where I bought my tires.
Skyjacker Kit came with Rear Springs, Shocks Hardeware and Coils. I've since put 2500 Highway and 3000 Offroad Southern Utah in 3 months!
Rear Before sat at 27 to the fender now its 34 no sag
Front was at 29 now at 34 3/4 with a 1/4 inch settle
its logs about 500 miles a week average with 3/4 of that offroad between Monticello Utah and Moab.
I would buy this kit again and recommend.
(tires are cheap 235/75r15... $320 Mounted & Balanced)
so I'm riding and wheeling all for less than $1400 like I said its a budget with 4 kids and 1 on the way! 1991 Jeep Cherokee Before Lift Morning Commute

Damn! My tires cost more than your Jeep. I've been looking for a 2 door around here. Nothing that cheap where I live.
I've been running Zone 3.5" for about a year now (Full leafs etc) - The ride is definitely a bit on the harsh side. Just ordered IRO BPE's and have a set of Bilstien 5100s going on once they get here. Hopefully that will help out a bit. I also have noticed that when the Jeep is loaded up with camping gear/tools etc that it does ride a bit better as mentioned above.

What lift did you get? I don't see a Skyjacker with new rear Leaves for under $400.

At the time of the Post the Kit Was $400 Delivered. Im sure it may have gone up now post covid. Part# JC315BKSH Almost a year later im still happy with it. Softened a bit but not much. I added a custom DOM tube Bumper and Winch so i did add 1.25 coil spacers, 1.5 inch rear Shackle, Transfer Case Drop, Adjustable Track Bar, 265/75/17 BFG MTR on 2018 JK Moab Wheels W/Adapter since then. Still a budget build. Haha
