Just wanted to give an update. Finished the job this morning, did an alignement with a tapemeasure and a few adjustments. I brought it in to the alignement shop to have it double checked, i was only off by 0.5* on the toe in!
took the magic carpet for a test drive on the highway after, did 80 for the first time ever and never felt so smooth. Drives like a dream and handles like a golf cart now. Whole job cost me $185 plus the alignment, all parts bought new at auto zone

I have a stock cover on mine, but I've seen many photos of it being used with different aftermarket ones. Not sure if they all fit, but I know at least some do with no issue.

You'll need to go on Energy Suspension's website and find the right part number for the dia of the rod but yes they do sell them.
