Sorry I'm kind of new and I just picked up a 98 Cherokee yesterday that has some issues so I'm trying to sort them out quickly. I was able to wiggle the divers side wheel side to side quite a bit and luckily stumbled into this thread right before I ordered all of my parts.
Just to confirm (for my peace of mind) are these the parts I need

I see in the catalog that two of (A) are needed, but are two required for this upgrade on a '98 XJ?
I also this there are three main components needed for this swap, so would I be correct in thinking (D) is the one I don't need?

Kind of in a rush since we can't register cars without inspection now so I guess I can't own the car until I get it fixed. Just go to AutoZone and get the parts for a mid 90's V-8 GC, their best line (they are made by Moog) under $100.

Could you by chance tell me which of those 4 listed I don't need? I'm new to Jeeps, hell I'm new to trucks and American cars so these suspensions are something I'm going to have a lot to learn about. It's a bit more complicated than the simple double A-arm setup of my RX7.
PS is that a Fairmont in your avatar?

Anyway I can't tell you if THOSE are THE RIGHT parts, but it does look like you specced out the ENTIRE steering setup. You do not need the drag link - which is what 410-1061 is - nor the connected TRE and adjusting sleeve. You can buy everything if you need to do your entire steering anyway, but only the straight tie rod, one short TRE, and one adjusting sleeve are actually required.

I agree. I actually went through the Raybestos website, but their sight was somewhat hard to navigate as the applications were on a un-linkable pop out page, had the 4.0 and 5.2 mixed up as well as the quality (Professional or Service grades) I guess, and had no pictures. So I just made up an Excel spreadsheet to find all of the professional 5.2 part numbers and have them organized to make my question the easiest to present. I tried my best and knew it was still inconvenient, but had hopes that someone would still help me sort it out if I made it a bit less troublesome. Originally Posted by salad

I'll go ahead and order those and add that to my list of shocks, motor/trans mounts, tires, P0500, P700, P0753, P0705, fixing dash lights, (now that I've fixed the check engine light bulb) so I have a lot to learn in the next couple weeks. Thank you for saving me a little bit of time!
*UPDATE* Wound up just ordering everything 6 items total. Came out to $227.99 ($246.80 with Texas sales tax). Thank you for your help!

Will this upgrade can be reasonable for my jeep considering is a 2WD and stock?
I'm needing to overhaul my front end and i'm looking for something solid. With the roads in Puerto Rico being covered with craters and what not is almost like offroading everyday!

Does anyone think a stock XJ, whose steering components are NOT worn out, should get this upgrade?
If it's wheeled, sure. Otherwise there's no reason. It'd be like putting drilled rotors and racing brake pads on your great aunt's car who only drives it to book club and the grocery store
