Hey guys I know a lot of y'all have read my thread about my oil pressure being low at idle it's down to 15-18 at idle. So with this being my DD when I am not riding my bike I have to relie on it. Well with my bday coming up on Nov 4th I was thinking I ask for money and start looking for a motor swap. What year 4.0s will work in my XJ? Mines a 99. Also if I am goin to do a used swap I should prob look for a very low mile motor if I can find one right? I plan on keeping the jeep since I don't want a car payment. Also do they make any mounts to do v8 swaps in these if so what motors?

15-18 psi is acceceptable at hot idle.

factory specs are

minimum of 13 psi at idle, and 37+ above 1600 rpms

my previous cherokee idled at12 psi all day long, my previous engine in this jeep idled at 13 psi till i got water in the crankcase no issues with the oil pressure spec.

yea I dont see an issue with you oil pressure.
