my biggest problem lately is traction issues. so i am looking at a spartain locker. but will the stock shafts and U joints hold up? also will be hopefully running 34.5" Tractor looking tires also. any info would be appreicated

Don't gas it with the wheels turned and bounce the tires and it should hold up but you never know. I ran 35s on my stock D30 shafts and a locker and never broke, rear was another story.
