Default where to get 8.8 axle

So i understand that the d35 is not worth regearing 4:56 and that i would be better off with a ford 8.8...what year/ model ford do I look for and does someone have a link for a swap kit tha ti would need.
how about the d30 in the front? should i look at replacing that axle?

Your looking for a Ford Explorer rear, some years came with limited slip and disc brakes.

The D30 will be good depending on tire size.

96 and newer is the years explorer you want to find.I think the 4x4 rangers and v6 ones used a 8.8 but gotta watch on them the 7.5 looks almost like the 8.8.

Here is some info on the 8.8

http://www.therangerstation.com/tech...plorer8_8.html

Needs to be a 1995 and up expo to get disk brakes and 31 spline. If you are wanting a cheap locker in the future get one with an open carrier.
