Reviving the Booger agien.....
My 89 xj has had a hard life. Its been down for the past couple years since I destroyed the Dana 35 in the back of it . Then I had my little girl and didn't have the time or money to fix it.
But now its time to get after it again.
For the rear end my buddy gave me a ford 8.8 out his 91 f150 That he wrecked. I know its drum brakes and not the preferred 8.8 everyone wants but hey it was free and money is tight.
I cut the stock purchase off and stock shock mounts off the ford rear end. Had to bolt it up to the springs without purchase on it to get it moved to the garage. will be putting the new ones on when I get home from my military training.
For tires I scored a set of 36 12.50 15 inch super swamper tsl for 200.00 they are 3/4 tread so I couldn't pass them up. will be needing to upgrade the little dana 30 in the front next lol.
It has a rustys 6.5 inch lift with rough country drops for control arms. will be upgrading to long arm.

Just ordered my ruff stuff spring purchase for the 8.8 and the adapter for the drive shaft. Can't wait to get home at the end of the week and start tearing it down.

Got the jeep limped into the garage with the new rear end just bolted under it with no purchase. Now time to pull it out and get the purchase put on.

Got the 8.8 back out from under the jeep to grind the old perches off the rest of the way and all the old brake lines off. Should be putting the new ones on in the next few days and weld the tubes up to the housing.
