Not sure if trolling or just skimmed an article or two on the internet based on information from the 70s.

I wouldn't know if that was trolling or not, sounded pretty legit to me. I don't know anything about turbo. The point is, Turbo on an XJ is about as good of an idea as a screen door in a submarine. Go back to the ricer forums with that talk.

This is the other half of the misinformation or ignorance that's always on here as soon as someone mentions the word "turbo."

There's nothing ricer about a turbo, even on a good old 'murican truck. If you don't know how to spec out and implement a good turbo setup, then say so. But don't lash out against that which you don't understand.

I found a kit from 505performance but it has no price and you have to remove the ac or relocate it.One thing no one said yet is you will have to run premium fuel and you will lose some mpg depending driving style.

I mean putting a turbo on an XJ is perfectly probable, and doable. That being said for offroad around here it would be garbage in a ride or two woth mud, water etc. If you are having to ask questions like how do I put a turbo on etc, you are no where near ready to start fabbing up your own stuff and making it work. In the end you would be better learning how to do small things first, like neon injectors, newer intake manifolds, and a header etc... lift, gears
