What turbo?
Fuel system upgrade. Air to air cooler. Exhaust totally reworked. Insulation. Oiling for it. Maybe o ringed head gasket. 140.000 miles? rebuilt short block. You might get it done for 4 or 5 grand.

Not trying to be mean but if your asking which turbo and how much money you don't need to try it.No one makes a bolt on turbo kit so it all would have to be custom made,And if you can't do that kinda work its gonna get pricey real fast.

There is a kit, but at the price of close to 2500 bucks, it aint worth doing to a $900 rusty XJ.
Junkyard Turbo Swap? I6 keeping it Chrysler. Get 2 Turbos out of the LeBaron 1982 to 1995 both must be same size!! They can be got for $75 to $125 each with a rebuild of $125 each. Turbos are good for 1.9 to 2.5 liter motor. Ball bearing oil and water cooled. Turbo 1 must be attached to 1,3,5 Turbo 2 attached to 2,4,6. 1 or 2Bar Map sensor ECM reprogram $??? Place them where your air cleaner is, heat shields. Build a custom exhaust manifold double wall. Down pipes. No inter cooler 300 to 325 HP, Cooled 450 to 475HP. Fuel Injector upgrade. Boost fuel regulator. Boost controler, lots of pluming, "oil, water, air", new HP coil, 2 step cooler spark plugs, 8.8 wires, new air cleaner setup over distributor away from new high heat source, blow off valve, boost gauge and mount. Boost will be 9 to 14 psi. Now can your engine handle this power? nope! not without a custom rebuild, all forged components.
Your engine runs at -14 psi at best. getting boost to 0 psi no vacuum will net you 50 to 100HP. per 14 psi above 0 will make engine think it's 1/2 again it's size so 28 psi your 4.0 is a 8.0L if you keep the charge cold 600+hp
