So, car prices are outrageous so I am pulling my 2wd 2000 jeep Cherokee out of the bushes(had this almost ten yrs now)
i am also having my 2000 4x4 jeep cut up for parts and saving the front axle, transfer case and driveshaft’s(rolled parts rig)not sure which d30 is on the parts rig but my rear is going to be a Chrysler 8.25
i am not keeping the old blocks and trans they are high mileage and the computer/ components keep going
im planning on putting a 360 crate with headers and a tramac 5speed manual and Yukon 3.73 lockers front back
the problem is though the 2wd jeep has a steering problem like change lanes if I hit a bump so if I’m switching axles figured it’s a good time to try and fix it again
i read somewhere years ago that a certain wrangler steering is a good option but don’t remember exactly
I have new rear suspension but I keep blowing shocks and I’m putting a plow as well so looking for a way to beef things up
i think I am going to have about 25-30k budget for this so need to do this smart since need to budget shop time too
any held is appreciated thanks
i hope to keep stock height but willing to look at reasonable other ideas

Reason: More accuracy
With a 30k budget i think you can fit some decent steering on the axle.
Id be looking at a d44 with reed flat top knuckles and steering track bar. True crossover steering. Run draglink to steering arm seperate from tierod Drag link track are pictured on mine. Yours will be similar
