howdy folks. I see a lot of xj's with aftermarket or homemade front bumpers, where is a good spot to reloc. the vac. canister?

Do you have cruise control or a cad axle? If not you can just cap it off ( all it's doing is controlling heater switch ) it has plenty of pressure to do without it.

I cut the hose short and bolted the canister to the inside of the passenger fender and reconnected the hose

Don't eliminate it. If you do, the heat will blow out the defrosters on a pull up a hill. Here:

I rarely tow either, but without that rezzy working properly, my heat blew out the defrost.

I cut my hose and mounted it inside the passenger fender. I have a '91 without ABS and my washer res is on the drivers side so I put it there in front of the blower motor.

It's super easy to do, isn't it? Not hard to find a spot at all.
