Using my Jeep engine for another project and would like some advice.
So as the title says I'm using my Jeep engine to put into a 1948 Ford (best of both worlds with a Dodge engine) and was wondering if the engine from the WJ could be converted to RWD. I have a 2001 WJ with the 4.7 and the constant 4WD.
Is it as simple as getting a drive shaft made to mate it to the diff of my project? Or will I have to go with changing transfer cases and all that?
Thank you for your time.

You could use the t-case and not hook up the front out put. Then do what ever custom has to happen for the driveshaft. It would be better to find a rwd transmission instead of a 4x4 easier to package and such

The only way to convert it to 2wd would be to switch out the transfer case for one that has 2wd like an np242 or np231, or you could swap in a 2wd transmission.
