Most transgo kits do shift a little harder then stock,Which is good for the trans but the hard shift might bother some people driving it.

 

I was looking for quick hard shifts. Wouldn't quicker shifts Make it slightly more efficient, longer lasting and make it feel more responsive? Are there other advantages to this kit or just the harder shifts?

 

There is a kit for our AW4s. I think Summit has them. Reviews I've read are favorable.

 

the kit I linked is for an aw4 I was thinking if he got his in and it worked well I might try it. Don't have any problems with my transmission but figured it might be a nice upgrade.

 

trans go has different levels of firmness. I've installed a few in gm trans and they work as advertised. however, I don't see the point of messing with a proven 300k mile transmission such as the aw4. I did the others bc I had 4K+ rpm torque converters and trouble getting the electronic trans to shift when commanded.

the shift kit offers a varying combo of parts to get what the installer wants. this trans was used in many vehicles, I wouldn't be surprised to see a wide range of options.
