I know I can spread the front mounts. But it sounds like the rears are harder. Is it best to grind the C.A. rears to be more narrow, or try to spread them out to fit.

Thanks for any input and help on this. I'm finally tired of my 31's rubbing. I used washers at the axle stops and they still rub and I've lost steering radius.

Thanks again.

I will be going the grinding the metal bushing down. When I do this. Sounds better to me than bending the LCA mount out.

If you can, use a band saw or go slow with the grinder, flap disk is more preferred. You don't want to over heat and melt the bushings.

Old thread, I know, but I just did mine tonight.

I used a sawzall, and went slow. No smoke while cutting the new LCA's.

As for the easiest way to install that I found.

Jack the jeep

Tire off

rest on "frame" with jackstand

Repeat other side

remove old LCA. (This could be by undoing the bolts, or cutting them. I got to try both. Most of my bolts came out, but one would not, so needed some sawzall persuasion)

Round bushing to body, Oblong to axle. I've read it recommended the other way, but I could not make it work.

Bolt in the frame end, but loose,

Jack under the steering knuckle, on the side you want to line up, watching for the hole. This part would be MUCH easier with 2 people.

Bolt it down and repeat for the other side. Some say do all 4 bolts before tightening anything, I didn't and it went fine.

Side note, I bought all new hardware for this. Bolt specs I found on the forum were M14*2.0*120. They work, but without washers to space on the axle mount, I wouldn't have enough thread to secure it. There is a TON of thread left hanging out, so I would go with M14*2.0*110 on the axle end, and 120 on the frame side,
