get a adapter for your floor jack to make it into a tranny jack that you can adjust. Find a good shop that is local that you can buy your tranny from. Most times they are cheaper and if you have a problem or a warranty you can take it to them.

Remove/loosen the upper two E12 bolts from the bell housing before all others.

The way my exhaust is ran i have to drop the front section or the bottom of the bell housing will hit, i dont know if its like that factory.
Snap on makes a really long extension that goes from 1/2 to 3/8. Expensive but nice to have, makes the top bolts much easier

get a rebuilt it will have alot better warranty junkyards usually warranty for 90 days and if you buy a used one off like say craigslist you have no warranty. Go to a local shop and price check the ones we can get at oreillys have a good warranty and the ones ive sold havent had any problems. oh and when you change trannys make sure you flush the cooler and the lines or they wont warranty them.
