Alright guys, there may be a thread up about this (I went back about 6 pages without finding one) so I'll start my own. Anybody have experience doing a SYE install. I have one sitting at the shop right now, and a CV driveshaft to go with it, but I remember hearing at one point that when you do the SYE install there is a part that has to be replaced in the T-Case. Any info, suggestions, problems that I can avoid from your experiences, I'd love it hear it. Thanks guys.
Probably should have said this, but its a 95 xj with the 231 tcase

the only specialty tool I needed was a good set of snap ring pliers. and a set of ratcheting wrenches can be helpful for tight fits when dropping the case.
most difficult part of the process was dropping the case. everything else was smooth sailing just follow the instructions

I didn't know it could be done without pulling the TC. Good info. for sure cause I wouldn't of known about putting it in 4lo before starting. I have my Advance SYE on my bench and have been avoiding and dreading the job but, after reading these posts, it's time to do it!

I'm in the need to do this as well, my dad is dreading it because to him its the worst thing in the world, and upwards of 600$. Boy is he wrong :P I remember reading about using a front driveshaft, but somewhere said they were different lengths for certain years. I guess find the one closest? Maybe shorter maybe longer?
