Default Sump guard plans ?

I think this is the right section for this ?

I've "acquired" a piece of sheet stainless pre drilled with 20mm holes, my plan is to fab up a sump guard, thing is I don't have a clue as to where to attach one to the chassis and what size it'd need to be to effectively protect the sump and, maybe the steering, if the sheet is big enough.

I was hoping someone might have a plan or pictures of one to give me some ideas ?

Thanks

Martin

I have seen one sump guard on the forum that was glued on, it just slipped over, that is if you are talking about the oil pan
As far as protecting the steering your best option is a beefy tie rod

I remember rusty's has a skid plate that also protects the sump and uses one of the the upper control arm mounts on the body, don't really know of anyone on the forum making there own, we just lift until its a non issue

The oil pan is fairly well protected by the axle, I'd be more concerned with the transmission instead.

True enough, as a sweeping generalisation I like Canadians and I've met a fair few as I used to play ice hockey over here, Canada is one of the worlds most beautiful countries.

If my wife would agree I'd be living there.
