Mr. White my amp is a legacy which yes is terrible brand but pushes the sub fine. No it does not sound like **** btw. I have infinity speakers so you hear the music over the sub while hearing and feeling the bass. Btw i would put my cheap system up to yours. Just because you dont spend multiple 100s or 1000s on a system doesnt mean it cant sound good. No what i have will not rattle your car apart. My point is you dont need to spend alot to get what your trying to achieve. I was on a budget and was able to get things cheap such as my type r in a box for 35 off craigslist. Fr the inside it is pretty loud and sounds good but the outside no you will not hear it rattle. Not for me for a daily driver.

 

Around $50 Legacy la589 amp. $25 wiring kit from walmart. Alpine type r in a sealed box for $35.

 

Mine was about $250 for just the sub/amp/box making materials. I built mine for SQ rather than SPL.

 

Ok mine is not built for spl. It is just to give some extra bass. Thanks for saying what i have is terrible and s**t. Maybe i think what you have is **** but its all personal preference so i wont sit here and be a a**hole.

I have always been very pleased Rockford amps and alpine subs if your looking around for some good brands

 

Haah also u can check out the higher quality kicker subs like 70 bucks for 400 watts rms hits pretty hard my friend had one

 

Dude. I didn't say yours is ****. That sub you have is a great sub. They are your ears man, what sounds good to me may not to you. Most people that throw Type Rs in use them for SPL because they can take a lot of power. :shrug:
