Default Steering upgrade...

Need a steering upgrade on my 97. I’m lifted 5.5” and already have a 1.25” DOM adjustable trac bar.

I’d really prefer bolt in, DOM tubing (not solid) and over the knuckle for sone added clearance.

Not sure if all these are possible, and I’ve been searching the web and get lots of choices and reasons for this one vs that one. I really don’t want t to jack with reaming my knuckles, and I want to either keep the stock tie rod ends or use a heim joint.

Who runs what and likes it? Why or why not? What would you change?

or- does anyone know or run a kit that fits all my parameters?

thanks in advance.

IRO sells a kit that matches what you want.

Just do the ZJ steering upgrade, cheap and easy to find parts for.

I’m in the same boat with a 97 but not quite as high ( 3.5 lift ) and have narrowed it down to either the ZJ (cheap) upgrade or the Currie ($$$$)

That is who I’m leaning towards. Unfortunately, they only sell a solid bar and not tubing option (I called and checked).

I’ll probably go with them and then make my own DOM tubing I’ve if I ever bend the solid one.

If you bend the solid bar I would hope they would replace it no questions. Solid bar shouldn't be an issue.
