When you put in the new track bar, how did the bolt hole look on the axle side? Was it wallowed out any? Also how do your control arm bushings look?

Why did that cause you to fail inspection?

I see. Around here they don’t looks that hard. Have you replaced your steering stabilizer or looked at your control arm bushings?

Who aligned it? I took my 99 to a shop and if I recall correctly they put something like 3/4inch toe out on 33s. I left the parking lot with squeeling tires as they insisted that it was correctly set. HORSE PILES. I also had bump steer and just general uncontrolled darting. 1/8in toe in done with a measuring tape in my driveway and it was great.

How are your Wheel bearings? Have you jacked up the front end and checked for play?

So I lifted the front end by the frame and grabbed the passenger side tire and shook it left and right and the pitman arm moves is that normal

Does it move the steering wheel too? You might have some play in the steering box.

Is there any play when you shake the tire up and down? Do both front wheels spin smoothly? When do you get the wobble? Is it above a certain speed or when you hit a bump?
Sorry for all the questions, its hard to diagnose problems the though the internet.

Do it again, but this time put the drivers window down & tie a piece of sewing thread from the outside door handle to the steering wheel yoke, so if the steering wheel moves, it will break the thead.

Could also use tape I suppose, and do it to the shifter vice outside the door......
