Default Steering issue/Steering box upgrade

this situation is hard to describe but ill do my best.

i have 33-12.50-15s on my jeep with a 4.5 inch lift, after about six months of driving and wheelin; when i make a turn as i exit the turn i get some bump from the steering wheel. instead of the wheel just returning to neutral slowly like usual it will turn stop turn stop turn stop. see what i mean.

also have any of you upgraded your steering boxes?

Have you checked the little "u" joint in the steering shaft, sometimes they will seize causing the turn stop turn stop.......

I have installed an AGR box tapped for a hydraulic assist and a bigger pump. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet. There is no noticeable difference in size.
