Default Should I need the SYE

So on my 98 XJ Sport, I got the Rubicon Express 3.5 short arm add a leaf with 31s

Its got about 120k or so on the lift, The leafs are not flat yet but they are getting there

when I did this lift, at a specific rpm I would notice just a touch of vibration.

ive done nothing as far as transfer case or shaft angle or anything.

most people said I wouldn’t have to with the 3.5

so here I am wanting full leaf packs new

which ones should I get to match with the 3.5 front, i hear the RE ones put you up a bit higher, then I will pry really need the SYE right

i eventually wanna do that SYE anyways but dang, priorities

im driving this like 20-200 miles every other day and need my ride smoothed back out so I’m replacing my shocks and bushings and such right now first

how long can I run the drop without causing other expensive problems, I heard it can make your fan hit your radiator and other nightmares?

also, what size drop would I need in my case

Better question is how long can you not run a drop or sye without causing other expensive problems. If you're getting vibes you are eating u joints.

Obviously a sye is the better choice, but if you're strapped for cash drop the tcase for now.

You can also look into a hack-n-tap and often use a front driveshaft.

What do I think? I think you should plan a lift with spending $ to do it right, including a sye, especially if you are worried about so many things.

I think you will be fine with a tcase drop. But if you are really worried about doing things without issues, then why even ask, install a sye.

Forgive me wise one for asking questions, the lift was installed 100k ago, after everyone telling me I would not need a SYE with this lift.

Now that I need leaf packs, and I’ve got priorities financially, I’m trying to gather as much info as possible considering everyone was full of **** before and I don’t wanna waste time or money.

The question I was speaking of is what size TC kit would I need with my particular lift.......

lol no no...........after the add a leaf i got vibes for about 2 months and it was just slightly at a particular speed. The add a leaf quikly lowered enough for vibes to go away.

So thats why im afraid that now wanting actuall leaf packs, ill have to do something because i know they will raise it more than just the add leaf did
