There is really only one style of SYE for that NP242 case. That would be the "hack n tap"
The one that Rubicon Express sells is a good example.
I'd offer a price for you .... but never heard back after I responded to your lift kit price request.

determining if you need an SYE is not as simple as applying the year of the rig...
what transmission do you have, what rear axle do you have?
I'm running I6, ax-15, 8.25 and needed an SYE at 1.5" of lift

it really depends on the jeep some guys run 4.5 without sye and some need it after 1" the older jeeps tend to handle the lifts alittle better but at that height it would be good idea i have a 96 with about a 3-4" lift with no sye and only minimal vibes
