Hey fellas been a while since I posted here just been reading for the most part, but need a little help with this one.
Jeep is mostly a weekend warrior with little daily use here and there. And most trails it sees are just hills with some off camber spots throughout. Nothing too crazy.
So for my rear shock setup I welded on new shock mounts, did away with factory setup. Now my eye to eye at ride height is 16 inches. I'm only looking for 3-4 inches of compression, but most shocks I'm finding within those two numbers will only get me about 4-6 inches of droop. That's not nearly enough correct? If. Ot what's a good fix? Other than putting factory mount back on. Dont wanna do through the floor but wouldn't be 100% against it. Thanks guys for any help

The important question not answered is how many inches of current lift are you rocking with. I would find a shock sized for the amount of lift you currently have.

Measure them with the suspension compressed and at full droop. I don't think you will be much more than 6" of droop with leaf springs I know mine don't drop that much.

Plenty for a rear set up.
I'd consider limiting to 3" of up travel using bump stops, plenty for DD / trail rider.
Just don't go fast over bumps and things but fine for crawling.
That will allow you to maximize the down travel of whatever shock you get.
