Alright what's going on guys! Im new here (long time creeper) so i got a hell of a deal on a 1991 jeep xj 6 in lift clean drivetrain w/ 7/10 body condition (just a project). So after rolling it off the flatbed an getting it into its new home i dive right into things and start going through everything. The engine needed fluids/filter changed so i did that. Next i changed the starter spark plugs an ordered fuel injectors. Now the trouble starts.. i knew the PO installed a push to start for ignition so i fire it up and it runs like a top.. go to turn the lights on to check if everything is doing what its supposed to do and i almost pulled the headlight dial through the dash... things not even secured.. so moving on i go outside after i engaged the running lights and noticed the rear lights are not on and the headlights are. Next day i changed the ignition switch thinking it was that. Nothing changed, so i checked rear hatch to make sure the 2 random male/female connectors arnt together (grounding circuit. Read this up on the forums for diagnosing no power to rear tail lights) Going to buy brake switch tonight an try that. I also noticed the wires under the steering wheel are a ****ing mess. Idk what the PO did to the interior wire harness but its on some other ****.. maybe thats whats also causing problems with radio an hvac controls also. I need some guidance. I can provide pictures or whatever you guys need. Buying new multimeter tonight.. thanks guys
