Scary on the interstate
Hey everyone, have a question for you. I am the newish owner of a 1990 xj 4door on a 4" BB. I have replaced all the steering components (ZJ Tie-rod, Drag link, Upgraded Trac Bar w/ bracket, V8 Durango steering box w/ new brace). It came with Sway Bar Quick Disconnects already installed. My question... The steering is now 10,000x better. But there is some seriously scary body roll. White knuckle going down the interstate. Sway bar is connected front and rear ( I know rear does almost nothing) What do I need to check to eliminate this. Its not that big of a deal for me, but I don't trust it with my wife. Do I need to upgrade the Sway Bar or something?

It's all in your alignment. You're running stock control arms?
I bet your caster is way out of whack. If should be set as high as possible while maintaining a decent pinion angle. Mine is at 8 degrees.
What's your toe set at?
I'm 4.5" on 33's and can drive 85mph with 1 finger on the wheel no problem.

I am running Stock Control arms unfortunately. The jeep came with a Firestone lifetime alignment so I have always just taken it to them for an alignment. the only thing I have done since my last alignment (about 100 miles ago) was a new Track Bar. Think this warrants another alignment?
When they line it up, get the spec sheet. I can almost promise you they're setting the Jeep to factory alignment specs. I bet they never touch the caster angle.
I bet it's sitting around 2-3* caster.
You're going to need adjustable control arms or drop brackets.

1. Upper and lower, or just one is needed for the caster.
2. I plan on upgrading to a 4.5" long arm lift in about a year.... think i would be better off getting them now, then selling them when I upgrade?
