I have an 88 xj I bought with rusty's 8" long arm lift already installed. And its way stiff I'm running 36x14.5x15" super swampers. Is there any way to get some more flex out of this lift or should I look into new coils and mabby taking a leaf or two out of rear
And I'm looking to lower it down around 7" if possible
thanks

At 8 inches im sure you have disco's but trim if you haven't and removing leafs and maybe going with RE or clayton springs would flex out better

It's the aliens that are hidden in your tires that are causing it...
In all seriousness, you are probably going to have to look into changing your spring setup as others have mentioned.

That's odd, every rusty's coil I've ever used has been almost too soft. I'm running their 6" now and they are great. Any idea how old the kit is because there is a little break in period but it's usually not all that long. Take it out and make it flex in a ditch or something and see if that helps any.

Are the shocks maxing out?
And what about rear shackle angle?
Steering or track bar binding?
If all that's good then you probably have one of their hd springs

Shocks maxing out not sure on the droop side but can't even get close to stuffing the tire I to the fender.
And how will I tell if steering or track bar is binding?
I hear some guys running. Rusty's take off the pass uper control arm...
