lower it a few inches, get new shocks, bumpstop accordingly, and get some real steering in there. what is your shackle angle like?

i would reccomend new quality springs back there with an extended shackle. that is an awful angle and those leafs are really arched. the flatter the leaf pack the better the flex. i really doubt thats how the rustys lift kit comes, and if it is, shame on them.

id still take a couple leafs out first just too see....(cheaper than new springs) my springs from rustys flex great and I can completely tuck my tires in the rear. I do have a 1.5in shackle too though

Hard to get 8" from a leaf spring without a decent arch.

Some relocation brackets and a longer shackle would definitely help though

Get shackle relocation brackets from RC. Your shackle angle is terrible. With the shackle brackets it will pit your shackle at 45degrees towards the rear. You will gain about 3/4in lift from that, so just remove one of the leafs. And you are killing two birds with one stone. You are fixing your shackle angle making for a better ride, the flex will be better as the shackle will pivot inward to open and you are making your leafs softer by removing the leaf. Thats three birds actually. Telling you, the shackle relocators are the sh. Oh yeah, lets please not start a debate about which ones are better. I dont care which ones the OP gets if he decides to buy them. I have RC thats all I could give my opinion on.

Rusty's 8" kit comes with a lift shackle and that ain't it. A 1-1.5" lift shackle would cure the angle and help the ride.
