My brother does sheet metal fab, i had him bend me some panels to weld in where the old rotted rockers were. They were like the 2x6 sliders you see people doing on the forum but it was 18 guage and not fully boxed, just enough to seal the bottom.

In the process of replacing mine with with replacements, not doing the slider mod, considered it but i figured I was gonna put stock back coat the entire rocker on por15 and call it good. Figured I'd make some diamond plate door guards and cut a hole in the top of the door jam inder them so i can take them off and wash the inside out to try my best to avoid rust again.

Yeah I'm pleased with them, they were cheap, thinner gauge steel then factory which makes them way easier to work with. Like i said though i plan to por15 mine and I also plan to throw a pair of JCR stage 3 rock rails on it too. I think they were like &25 bucks a side. If you coat them with the right stuff they should be just fine, my passenger side came out good, my driverside is still missing cause i deployed before i could get to welding the new one back on that side. I'd take pics but I'm horrible with taking pics while i work on any of my projects, i just get way too focused on my work. I can snap some pics though and post them once i get back stateside in a few weeks. I'll see if i can fine the rockers i bought and I'll put the link on here for you. One other thing i had to buy some extra sheel metal from like lowes or homedepot too for little patches here and there as well too but no big deal.
