My plan is to get one from the junkyard and machine it to get everything set up as far as tooling goes then use it and take mine and sell it.... If u want to send me a core ill get started as soon as I get it. If u send me a core (better be a spare as it will take me a week or two to get set up since I have to use break and I can prob get an hour and a half after work Friday, hopefully id be toiled up and have one ready in a week) then I will get started right away. I'll prob charge u like 40-50$ since its a prototype and u would be helping me out gettin me goin. I'm thinkin I would bore it somewhere between 58-60 mm. 1 mm is .039 which is a little more then 1/32 of an inch so the difference in diameter between 59 and 60mm is minimal. I think 59 mm is the beat size and a little more on the safe size. It is still 7mm bigger then stock which is over 1/4 inch bigger.

Theyre out of stock. Pete, I was saying I'm gonna start boring them and selling em. Next time I get to pick n pull in the next week or two im gonna pick one up. Once I have all the specs written down and the settings for the boring bar and plans for the new butterfly ill be able to do at least one a week at work during lunch or maybe after work. I was looking at buying one at leigh then I thought wait a second, I'm a Machinist and I'm employed again, I have full access to the machined shop. I could use some money oem the side.

I don't think it will be too bad. I'll machine a jig that fits in the mill vice that the tb bolts on too. There are no rules in machining. If u can dream it you can do it. I happen to have a lot of experience making fixtures and jigs. I do general machining 40 hours a week non stop. That's what will take the most time on tooling up though. I will talk to my boss Monday and see how much shop time I can get.
