I am planing on regearing my 95 XJ to 4.56 or 4.88 since I am running 35s on ny stock axles. I was reading about it and found out that I might need to change the front carrier if I put either of those gear ratios on.
My questions is, would I really need to change carriers on the dana 30 or is there any other way around doing that.

I have 35s and a 6.5 inch lift. Everything else is stock.

Please give some advice.

Yes you need a carrier for a 3.73 and up gear ratio in the Dana 30.
