Default rebuilding axles and regearing

So I am about to regear to 4:88 and I am wondering what is all needed to do so? I want to pretty much replace everything and anything inside.

This is what I got so far

I am going to run 35s and am still debating on if I need axle shafts as well but not sure if I need them....?

well do you have plans for an axle swap? If not, i dont remember who makes them but theres a company that sells entire upgrade/rebuild/regear/lock it kits, comes with every seal and bearing, gears, ARB air locker, chromoly shafts, and a few other doo dads, their like 2k though.

if your going to gear it might as well lock it at the same time, plus rebuild and improve overall.

I did exactly what your lookin to do. Your D30 will require a new carrier for 4.88's.

I did new seals & bearings in both axles, I'd recommend doing a full case locker up front since you need a new carrier anyways. It'll cost you a couple hundred more but way better (IMO).

I also replaced hub bearings, ball joints & upgrade steering especially if you gonna run 35's

Depending on how far you plan on going & what size rims you're running, it may be a good idea to swap your brakes to the WJ knuckles & brakes.

From what I've seen, running 35's with a locker you'd deff. Want to think about new axles in the 30. Check out RWK supply on here, got all my stuff from him. Priced right & at my door within days of ordering.

Ring/pinion, master install kits, carrier for 30 min for what you want to do. Also new speedo gear so you tranny shifts correctly.

Good luck
