Default Regearing ym axles, but I have a question

Well for a little bit now i've been accumulating parts for some more lift and I plan on running 33's when it's all said and done. I dont really think i'll have a ton of money left over for regearing but my question was that I know the 4cyl Cherokee's came with 4.11 gears which I think would be adequate for what im doing (I'm running 3.55's on 31's and thats fine) but I was wondering if I would be able to avoid some of the expense by buying the required parts to regear at like the auto parts store, and buying a set of "stock" 4.11 gears.

I dont know whether something like that would be dealer only parts or if I would even be able to do this at all. Also if that is do-able what parts in the diff are actually replaced when you regear, or would I just be better off buying a whole new carrier? Or even better if I would just be able to get them on the cheap at a junkyard and have them go right in? Thanks.

I would look into the junkyard or a donor that someone is selling, you can pick up both front and back for around $150 each maybe cheaper. Reason is you will spend at least that on new gears and bearings, and if you have not done this kind of repairs,it can be complicated and does requires tools like dial indicators that not everyone has to do it right,if not done right you can destroy a new set easly.

Well if I dont have the tools ill need, ill just buy or borrow them, I dont intend to to a half-assed job at this, but what exactly are the parts i'd need to salvage for a regear?
