Default Regearing help

I have a 2000 with dana 30 front and Chrysler 8.25 rear. I need help. I ordered a set of hp 4.56 gears with master rebuild kits then realized that I have the low pinion and not high pinion that were in the previous years. Just got done dropping them off at ups to get my refund. Anyone know where I can find reliable gear sets? All the ones I'm finding are on eBay.

Yeah I don't want anything to do with ebay and gears. I went on the Yukon site but it's says reverse rotation gears. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't high pinion have the reverse rotation and low pinion rotates the other way due placement of the pinion?

I'm not sure of their terminology. Seriously, just give them a call and ask. If you can get part numbers then you can use the PNs in Google searches for the best price.

I got my gears from Ron's Machining Service, great company to deal with. On their website they have gear kits listed for the 00-01 XJ with the low pinion Dana 30.

The gears in your low pinion axle are reverse spiral, not reverse rotation. Careful of the terminology.

Check https://eastcoastgearsupply.com/ or http://rwkhaussupply.com/ for part numbers and prices. I also will typically search part numbers in Google Shopping to find the lowest prices.

Go buy a HP30 to regear. It feel like they are worth the extra strength and better geometry when lifted.

Agree. For the trouble of regearing, you might as well spend time to get a high pinion 30. They aren't rare or expensive.
